How does the Leadership Advisory Process
work?
Mike utilizes a 3-step process that encourages and challenges the participant to
grow their leadership skills and results.
Step 1 - Initial Evaluation of Your Needs, Goals, and Desired Outcomes and
Expectations - As Steven Covey says we need to "begin with the end in mind."
In the initial meeting with Mike you will be challenged to develop a focus on
your goals and desired outcomes and expectations from the coaching process. Mike
may desire to interview or use formal assessments with those people in your
circle of influence to (1) increase objectivity and (2) get those critical to
your success involved.
Step 2 - Develop a Game Plan - Mike will review and organize the results
of these interviews into some overriding themes and work with you to develop a
specific game plan with goals, milestones, and desired outcomes. The "coachee"
must recognize the key to improvement is in their successful interactions with
others and completion of the action steps in the plan. Without taking action the
plan has little to no value!
Step 3 - Work the Plan - Mike will work as your personal CEO (i.e. Chief
Encouragement Officer) and CPB (Certified Pain in the Butt - you certify me to
hold you accountable). Mike believes his coaching role is to encourage you to
move through obstacles and to hold you accountable to deliver on your game plan.
We work together to make your desired outcomes a reality! The plan will
reevaluated as you achieve your milestones and/or conditions around you change.
